We are pleased to announce Mount Lebanon Academy was recently a recipient of a ComcastRISE Grant. The majority of the money will be directed to K-12 students who have experienced slippage academically due to the COVID-19 pandemic. There is a growing demand to help students receive customized learning in order to fill the learning void and achieve greater success with their classroom skills. We are excited and pleased to help students in the South Hills Area by offering opportunities for growth and skill development through our tutoring services and small group classes.

The Academy has designed five rounds of scholarships with awards being presented each quarter of the academic year and the summer session. Parents must apply using the ComcastRISE Grant Scholarship form and document an academic need based on unsatisfactory grades, or slippage with test scores, report card grades, MAP or Aims Web testing, or achievement test results. If you have a child or know of someone who can benefit from our tutorial services, please share this information with them.

A scholarship committee will make decisions each quarter, and parents will be notified by the Director if their child has received an award. If your child does not receive a scholarship, his/her application will be considered the following round so you need not reapply. Applications can be obtained on our website at http://www.mtleboacademy.com or call 412-563-1413 for more information.

We recognize the major academic impact Covid has had on our children and the disruption of student learning that consequently occurred. We are sincerely grateful to ComcastRIse for this opportunity to help students fill the learning gaps and become more successful learners.
