Yes. All our teachers are state certified. All of our teachers must be state certified and must have all state clearances for child abuse, criminal history checks, FBI clearances etc.
Private tutorials are scheduled for a minimum of 6 hours. During the summer, students attend twice weekly for 3 weeks. If vacation times interfere, credit for tutorial classes can be rolled over to the following sessions. During the academic year, however, students attend once weekly for a 6-week period. If a student wishes to continue or terminate beyond the initial 6 hours of instruction, it is the responsibility of the parent to notify the tutor accordingly on or before the originally scheduled final class. For example, if you wish to extend instruction beyond your original registration, a parent must have the tutorial payment to the tutor in an envelope postmarked no later than the originally scheduled final class period. Tuition received after the final class does not guarantee the same time. On-going tutorials are always prepaid.
If it is necessary to cancel a tutorial session due to illness or other emergencies, you MUST notify the tutor 24 hours in advance, and they will make every effort to reschedule. We recognize “excused absences” in the summer if parents have notified us regarding vacation schedules. During the academic year, if a student has a conflict with an officially scheduled school event, an excused absence is also granted. Once again arrangements must be made in advance. When finalizing tutorials, please take into consideration sports schedules as we cannot work around them. Unless these procedures are followed, parents will be charged. All cancellations will be charged the regular tutorial fee. When finalizing tutorials, please take into consideration sports schedules as we cannot work around them. Unless these procedures are followed, parents will be charged the full tutorial rate for any absence or “no show”.
We only contact a child’s school if parents sign a Release Form and wish for us to do so. Oftentimes correlating our program by talking directly to the child’s teacher can be very helpful, however, this is the parent’s choice.
Tuition payment must accompany the registration form. We do not currently take credit cards or online payments; therefore, a check must be forwarded with the form. If parents choose to pay through their bank, payment must be received prior to scheduling. Ongoing tutorial payments must be received before the final class period.
During the academic year, private tutorials meet once weekly for a minimum of six hours of instruction. Summer classes meet twice weekly (Monday, Wednesday OR Tuesday, Thursday) for a period of 3 weeks, however scheduling is flexible during the summer due to vacation schedules. Please communicate absences in advance with your child's tutor.
Tutors are flexible during the summer due to camps, vacations, etc. If a student misses a week of classes, we will schedule make-ups for the following session or roll classes over to the fall. Notifications of absences must be made prior to registration, however.
